Have showers ever felt so fantastic?
Has my chest EVER been this big?
Has my bed ever felt so delicious?
Have I started working out yet? (Only a bit of yoga and walking).
Have I ever been more happy about weight gain (hers, not mine
)?
Have I ever been more excited about bodily functions?
Have I ever been so obsessed with somebody’s feet?
Have I ever wanted to care for my family and home this much?
Have I enjoyed every baby this much?
I’m sure I have. But, man, am I sure glad to be able to do it all again.
At Roxie’s two week appointment, the doctor asked me if things were “back to normal” around our house. I pried my eyes off this beauty queen, looked at him and said, “No. Not even close.”
Things will never be the same. Life is better, so much better, with this little one as a new part of it.
Tired? Exhausting? Stressful? Emotional? Of course.
But, with the arrival of my new love I been reminded once again of my purpose, focus, and direction in my life: to be a mother.
I’ll be on a bit of a blogging break for the time being.
Foxy Roxie and I are still getting to know each other.

She’s beautiful. Congrats again. We’ll miss hearing from you but you need to be mama first.
Beautiful post and pictures. Thanks for reminding me of my purpose and privilege as a mother. We’ll still be here when you can squeeze in some time to blog again. Enjoy these precious days–we all know how fast they go!
Wow! She is absolutely gorgeous! So happy for you and your Foxy Roxy!
I love the last photo. You are so lucky to have another little one join your family. I’m glad you’re taking a break and look forward to your return! Enjoy!
Congrats! I love her name and she is absolutely adorable. Hope all is well!
Those pictures are crazy beautiful, as are you and the little Foxy Roxie. What a gorgeous little babe! These little ones really put it all into perspective, don’t they? The sleepless nights, the aching boobs, the wardrobe-in-waiting taunting me in my closet…minor. All very minor when weighed against my little miracle that arrived 5 days ago. I applaud your direction in life, and hope I am embracing that same direction a little more fully each day. I am so happy for you and your family, Mandi.
Oh my goodness she is precious! Congrats. Babies are just amazing.
Thanks Tyana!
