Well, I haven’t done an EWM for quite some time. I feel as though the combo of summer, kids, travel, and pregnancy has me eating the same things day after day. This is not always a bad thing. I am always trying to simplify and keep my kitchen cool by staying out of it as much as possible.
Anyway, here’s a typical day. I did hop in the car with the Doc to take a spontaneous trip to “the city” (San Antonio). I’ve done about a month down here in our new little town, and a restaurant fix and a little window shopping sounded good.
Well, let’s get down to business!
Workout: 1 hour walk/waddle outside
Cereal Breakfast Blend
1 Storm Trooper Helmet
Oh my gosh, how many mornings have I eaten this? Pretty much every day (minus my traveling) since school got out. I’m an addict. And the Storm Trooper Helmet addition from my four-year-old was a nice adornment, don’t you think?
a ton of watermelon chunks
1/2 cup cottage cheese, low-fat
Summer Chicken Salad Wrap (recipe coming soon!)
Mid-Afternoon Snack #1:
1 Pumpkin Perfection Muffin (with some chocolate chips that jumped in, I don’t know how that happened)
Is there ever a bad time to make Pumpkin Muffins? I don’t think so. Man, these babies are perfect…
Mid-Afternoon Snack #2:
1/2 cup greek yogurt
2 packets stevia
1/4 Fiber One Cereal
Peaches are incredible right now. I am eating enough to store up for winter.
Off in San Antonio where there are real, live restaurants! Like the kind you can sit down in and enjoy some dim lighting.
Dinner at P.F. Changs:
1 order of their Lettuce Wraps
Yep, I ate all four wraps.
I love the “eat an appetizer for the main meal” approach at restaurants. This still had around 600 calories (ouch!), but way less than one of their main dishes. For instance, their basic Sweet & Sour Chicken is 1,100 calories. Plus, it’s faster and cheaper as well.
Pregnancy Motto #359:
When the clothes aren’t fitting anymore, buy more accessories!
A few bucks at Forever 21 goes a long way for this girl.
And some browsing at Anthropologie.
Not one item of clothing was touched this trip.
The price tags cause me pain.
And there’s NO WAY I’m spending more dough on this bod.
Perhaps in a a few months. I don’t know, though — those prices are paralyzing…
1 regular sized gelato
I don’t believe gelato and Uvalde have ever been introduced, so I’ve gotta grab it when it I can get it!
