I’ve been so excited to share Cindy’s story with you. Cindy works out at the same gym I do and is kind to stop and give me a smile and hug in between her classes. The way she’s turned her life around is admirable and I hope it inspires you as it has me.

How long it took for the weight loss: less than a year
The Weight Gain
Throughout my life, I have lost and gained the same 40 pounds over and over. I was hesitant to try again.
The Turning Point
I began in April 2010 after reading Chantel Hobbs’ book Never Say Diet. As a result, I started walking 30 minutes a day and writing down what I ate. Eventually, I got the courage to change what I ate. For the first time in my life, I joined a gym at that the beginning of June 2010.
I started with taking a spin class, then added conditioning classes (combination of step aerobics and weight training). Now I usually go to a Cardio class, then weight training on Mon/Wed/Fri. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I do Pilates and then conditioning. I love the classes! Everyone is SO supportive and encouraging!
I am committed to having a healthy lifestyle, but if I “mess up” I can forgive myself and start again.
Tried and True Tips
One thing I have learned this time around is that it is a one-day-at-a-time commitment. I am determined to not gain this same 40 lbs back again — but keep it off for good this time!
