Have I really been doing Eat With Me posts for an entire year? Holy cow. Time flies when you are eating great food!
Ran 2 miles to the gym – 165 calories
Weight lifting for 45 minutes – 301 calories
Ran the 2 miles home – 164 calories
Total – 630 calories
1 small whole wheat roll
I ate a little extra this morning because I knew I had to last through some killer weight training as well as four miles of running. If I bonked, I had no car (since I ran to the gym) which would lead to more complex problems like getting the kids fed, dressed, to school on time, etc. So, to avoid all these problems I just ate about 100 calories extra. Perfecto.
Oats and Berry Shake
(recipe coming soon)
Totally NOT hungry after my workout, which is very unusual for me (I can pretty much be hungry at any time of day or night. It is a talent I possess). But, I slowly ate this recovery shake since I knew my body needed it.
1 Pure Protein Bar
1/2 cup cooked mixed beans
1 cup butternut squash, steamed
3/4 cup green beans, steamed
1 Tb goat cheese, crumbled
1 1/2 cups grapes
OK! The appetite is back, no need to worry! I made a large pot of beans over the weekend and plan on eating them throughout the week. DO THIS. It is a great go-to food with all the fiber and protein your body needs.
1/2 cup fat-free greek yogurt
1 apple, sliced
2 packets of stevia
dash of cinnamon
I feel like a Greek Goddess when I eat greek yogurt. I love any food with an accent Really, though, if you haven’t partaken of greek yogurt yet — get with the program, sister. It must be sweetened (I like stevia or agave nectar), but its dense creaminess and high protein cannot be beat.
1 Tomato Basil Pizza
2 cups of grapes
How many grapes can a woman eat in one day? I’m determined to find out.
Late night snack:
3/4 cup Fiber One cereal
1/2 cup skim milk
1 small banana
I had the calories, why the heck not?
Under by 77 calories. Good night!
